Cowboys defensive end Randy Gregory reportedly failed another drug test recently, but team owner Jerry Jones isn’t buying it.
According to a TMZ report, Gregory reportedly tested positive for marijuana in February, which would be the seventh time he failed a drug test.
I would be very skeptical, Jones said, via the Star-Telegram, of Gregory failing the test and of him reportedly skipping out on his rehabilitation treatments.
Gregory was already serving a year-long suspension from the NFL for his previous positive tests. He can apply to be reinstated in September, but he will need to stay drug-free.
Game Mens Mark Duper Jersey Jones said the organization is supporting Gregory and that he is an extremely important piece of the Cowboys team.
We need him on the football field, Jones said. We do support him absolutely.
Gregory first got in trouble when he failed a drug test at the NFL Scouting Combine in 2015. That season he failed his second test, which resulted in a four-game suspension. At the start of the 2016 season, he failed another test and earned another four-game suspension.
After that, Gregory tested positive again, which gave him a 10-game suspension. He was only back on the field for two games when he failed another test, which meant he will be sidelined the entire 2017 season.
