Fans of the Redskins will find what they’re looking for

The RGIII windmill of controversy is eerily similar to the political side of D.C., Every time a Republican or Democrat opens their mouth about anything, the public reads into it in a way that only strengthens their previously held beliefs of right and wrong. Voters have become less like decision-makers and more like fans.

That’s what has happened to the Redskins and Robert Griffin III in a span of only twelve months.

The Redskins finally have a transcendent player that matters enough to serve as a litmus test/bug zapper for half-baked, strongly-held opinions about what should or should not be said in an interview with a reporter whose job it is to make the reader react to what was said.

Fans of the Redskins will find what they’re looking for, everyone else outside their little bubble will too. People will pretend to know why Griffin is either great or terrible, and they’ll do it based on a handful of media interactions with a 23-year-old who has just one and a half years of experience and one and a half legs to stand on.

SmackDown, however, feels a bit more … well, raw. They go a long ways towards letting the action in the ring tell the majority of the stories, and when the microphones do come out, there’s a lot less pomp and circumstance involved in it most of the time. The words being exchanged between wrestlers and the occasional authority figure often feel as though they come more from the hip rather than memorized from a script, and they tend to feel much more purposeful than over-forced encounters and confrontations often found on RAW. It’s a cohesive, logical universe that comes off feeling like a wrestling show rather than RAW’s variety show approach.

the majority of Orlando’s apparent targets are hybrid player who can run at more than one position

Tom Brady’s backup saw his value skyrocket once news came out about Romo’s retirement. With Brady saying he’d like to play six or seven more years, the Patriots would probably be willing to trade Jimmy Garoppolo — but it could cost another team two first-round picks. Taking a risk and mortgaging their future on a quarterback who has only started two games may not be the most ideal move for any team, though.

A reporter asked Williams a few days before the Final Four if UNC would accept an invitation, and Williams demurred. The coach said he was “dadgum superstitious” and wouldn’t discuss such an opportunity with games still to play.

After actually winning the title, Williams was asked again for his “thoughts” on visiting President Trump in Washington. His response, in full:

I haven’t had any. I probably screwed it up. I should have told you let me think about it afterwards, because I wasn’t going to jinx myself.

Magic GM Rob Henningan said the lists are “not indicative of plans” and were “simply listing options, including some of which other teams have inquired about,” according to the Orlando Sentinel.

In the picture, the majority of Orlando’s apparent targets are hybrid player who can run at more than one position. And if they aren’t a hybrid player, they’re guys who can space the floor at the four spot.

At its simplest definition, “spread bias” is the idea of killing multiple birds with one stone. That’s why many of Orlando’s apparent targets within that category can be considered playmakers at the forward spot, who can also shoot and rebound: Jon Leuer, Marreese Speights, Kyle Anderson, and Chandler Parsons.

It’s a smart idea. Teams thrive off of versatility, specifically on defense, and can give a team like the Magic more options to put around their big men.

Hopefully, the other side of the whiteboard is dedicated to finding a long-term solution at the point guard.

He got the ball as clear as a whistle.

Well Im sure that would be easier to explain to Giselle if that were true Peter. King’s twitter feed is a must-follow in the same way that lemmings use the term but Ive created a new way to enjoy Peters musings. Im introducing @TheMMBM which is a cool new twitter account that will be funny for like a day. The purpose is just basicly to imagine Peter King dropping loads while hes sending these thoughts out to the masses.

Also in his MMQB column Peter gave his coveted prestigous “Tweet of the Week” award to some stupid account that stole my RG3-7 joke a hour and a halve after I made it so technicaly that award should be mine not that I care enough to write about it in my column or anything.

Im giving him the Newsboy Lunchpail Fella Award because when you have a talented backup QB and a struggling starting QB/Gadget Player your going to be selling alot a papers when the teams 3-7.

The manager turned the video off. “I just don’t see it. He got the ball as clear as a whistle. This is a witch hunt, that’s what you media people do, you’re going to ruin this boy’s reputation because of an unfortunate situation.”

A reporter then asked about a previous incident with the player, where he was booked for elbowing and subsequently breaking a defender’s nose. The manager responded that it was an accident, “these things happen all the time.”

Another reporter asked of the time that the same player was sent off for stamping on an opponent’s leg, and what the manager made of the time before that when he was carded for a bad tackle that forced a promising young player to miss an entire year of football, too. Or even the numerous times that he wasn’t booked but was involved in spats with other players after delivering a bad challenge.

Field expert Guy In Boots is on top of the situation.

Aaron Ekblad Jersey The actual field at Soldier Field is heavily derided, since for some reason, huge patches of grass seem to always be coming off the field and constant slipping leads to guys getting hurt.

Let’s throw in brutal winds and rain so bad the stadium needs to be evacuated, and… well… this happens:

I couldn’t have done better with my sand wedge. And now 22 heavy football men are going to play three-plus quarters of football down there… something bad is going to happen.

New York Giants – Ryan Shazier, Linebacker, Ohio State: The Giants are on a bit of a roll, playing their way out of the premier draft position. One of the biggest positional needs for New York is linebacker, which has been a sore spot on the defense all season. Ryan Shazier of Ohio State has cooled off a bit this season, but if he runs as fast as he claims he will at the 2017 NFL Scouting Combine, Shazier could see his draft position begin to climb again. He looks like a mid first-round pick.

Green Bay Packers – Jace Amaro, Tight End, Texas Tech: Jermichael Finley suffered a scary injury against the Browns earlier this season and may never play in the NFL again. If he does return, there is no guarantee he will be the same player. Plus, the Packers could use an upgrade regardless. Jace Amaro has emerged as one of the top draft-eligible tight ends in the class. He’s fast down the seam and has plus body control for his size. Adding more weapons for Aaron Rodgers is never a bad thing.

Limited Cody Wichmann Jersey Miami Dolphins – Antonio Richardson, Offensive Tackle, Tennessee: For the love of Ryan Tannehill, the Miami Dolphins need to upgrade the offensive tackle spot in the 2017 NFL Draft. They need to do it early, too. Antonio Richardson is a quality prospect who could go higher than this by the time May rolls around. The Dolphins’ offense has a chance to come together if Tannehill stays upright.

Week 10: E.J. Manuel, Jay Cutler to return

Seattle will be without the contributions of defensive tackle Red Bryant, who is listed as out for Sunday, although the Seahawks should have Marshawn Lynch ready to go, as the running back is listed as questionable.

The Falcons have been without the contributions of receiver Roddy White since Week 5, but he might be ready for Week 10. After limited participation in practice, White is listed as questionable for Sunday and told reporters that he will play. Also questionable for Atlanta are Peria Jerry, Sam Baker, Stephen Nicholas and Corey Peters.

Rookie running back Giovani Bernard garnered a lot of attention for his Week 9 performance, and it appears as if he’ll be ready to go in Week 10, although he’s listed as questionable. Also listed as questionable is tight end Jermaine Gresham, who appears less likely to play.

Cornerbacks Jimmy Smith and Corey Graham are both listed as questionable for the Ravens, who enter Sunday without many significant injuries. Also questionable are linebacker Daryl Smith and wide receiver Brandon Stokley.

The Lions will be without wide receiver Nate Burleson, who has been ruled out with an arm injury, but that just means more targets for Calvin Johnson, who is listed as probable for Sunday.

For the Bears, all eyes will be on the return of Jay Cutler, who participated fully in practice this week and is listed as probable to return from his groin injury. Unlikely to play on Sunday is defensive end Shea McClellin, who is suffering from a hamstring problem and is listed as doubtful, which is a big blow to the already-struggling Bears defense.6

Chiefs vs. Broncos 2017 odds and lines: Denver favored heavily

Limited Womens Robert Mathis Jersey The Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos will square off in the Mile High City on Sunday night, playing in front of a primetime audience.

Prove-It Week has finally arrived for the Chiefs. KC players have no doubt been yearning for respect as the league’s last remaining undefeated bunch, and Lord knows their fans have. Sunday at Mile High, it’s all in front of them: knock off the Broncos and they’ll reel in the plaudits while taking pole position for home-field advantage throughout the playoffs. Alex Smith will have to play even better than Philip Rivers did last Sunday to exploit the Broncos’ troubles with precision passing, and the Chiefs’ secondary has to stick long enough for Houston and Hali to get home. They’ll also need to avoid the Big Receiver Blues that they endured against Dez Bryant and Josh Gordon in trying to contain a white-hot Demaryius Thomas. This one’s going to be fun.
Kids Zach Fulton Jersey
After a Saturday marathon of MTV’s 16 and Pregnant, Ravens DB James Ihedigbo got confused on a fourth-quarter Hail Mary and went for the “Knock It Up” gambit rather than the time-honored “Knock It Down” approach. It was one of the only bad defensive moments for the Ravens, though, as they forced the Red Rifle Squirt Gun into a trio of turnovers. The Ravens’ run game looks broken beyond repair, but if their secondary plays to its potential, they could set themselves up for a run if Joe Flacco can pull a Double Eli and play over his head again during the right stretch of games.

Nick Saban’s mad about fake news, like the kind Bama put on its bulletin board

Perhaps you’ve seen Nick Saban’s latest bout of hollerin’. It’s pretty good and a worthy addition to the genre, with digressions and subplots stemming from a question about the team’s offensive coordinator hire, Brian Daboll from the Patriots.

Say, do you remember a few months ago, when Bama created some shit and threw it on a wall ahead of the Playoff semifinal against Washington? This photo from Bama meeting rooms was tweeted and deleted by ESPN’s Holly Rowe on Dec. 30:

We felt like the media was kind of downplaying Washington and felt they were putting Washington in a bad situation, star defensive end Jonathan Allen said. We knew Washington was a good team and told our guys not to listen to the media. Just play your game.
Here was a screenshot we took at the time:

Game Mens Winston Guy Jersey Baseball fans in Puerto Rico had been head-over-heels excited about their team’s deep run in the WBC. Puerto Rico was a perfect 7-0 before running into a determined USA team, led by starting pitcher Marcus Stroman.

Puerto Rico third baseman Carlos Correa said civic pride, born out of the tournament, has been unifying for all of the people in Puerto Rico.

Mens Danny Trevathan Jersey There were no crimes, there were no assassinations back home while we were playing in this classic, Correa said. Everybody was dyeing their hair blond, so we had our whole nation behind us that is going through tough times right now.

you’ll read a lot about how they need to finally build that super-roster we have been craving for years

I am starting to come around to Mile High Hockey is argument that the Avalanche can’t afford to pass up the best defenseman in the draft. The consensus Best Three? in the 2017 draft are Nolan Patrick, Nico Hischier, and Liljegren. Two centers and a defenseman. When Tyson Jost joins Nathan MacKinnon in Colorado next season, they’ll be set down the middle for years.

Patrick cited the state of Texas’ commitment to hospitality as he charged the Texas Rangers (the law enforcement agency, not the baseball team) with finding Brady is missing jersey.

Authentic Kids Mitch Richmond Jersey In Texas we place a very high value on hospitality and football, Patrick said, according to the Texas Tribune. Tom Brady is jersey has great historical value and is already being called ‘the most valuable NFL collectable ever.’ It will likely go into the Hall of Fame one day. It is important that history does not record that it was stolen in Texas.

Authentic Kids Kelvin Beachum Jersey I’ll still take the U.S., but I am not going to argue too strenuously against a team that can march out a Machado-Cano-Cruz-Bautista middle of the order. And it still wasn’t enough to win every single baseball game it played because, well, that is not how baseball works.

So keep this all in mind before Tuesday night is U.S.-Japan game. It is a two-parter:

If the Screamin’ Facebook Raptors happen to lose in the semifinals or finals, you’ll read a lot about how they need to finally build that super-roster we have been craving for years. Mike Trout and Clayton Kershaw would be a decent start, for one. But that undersells the actual roster by a bunch. This is already a superteam, and it is been a privilege to watch it, even if it might step in a pile of baseball before it is all over.

Ryan earned his payday after developing into a starter in his final two years with the Patriots.

The Titans lost out on the A.J. Bouye sweepstakes, but they were still able to land one of the top cornerbacks on the free agent market — and at a cheaper price (three years, $30 million).

Ryan earned his payday after developing into a starter in his final two years with the Patriots. The Titans needed secondary help, and even if Ryan wasn’t as highly coveted as Bouye or new Patriots CB Stephon Gilmore, this is still a solid pickup.

Another season, another one-year deal for the former first-round pick who’s struggled with injuries his entire career. He’s a steady enough corner who can start, that’s not a bad thing for the Bears.

Look, I would have settled for something as simple as a top-two seed being pushed to the brink. Kudos to the tournament for going above and beyond and giving us the No. 1 overall seed bounced in a thriller and a No. 3 seed getting run off the court by a No. 11. Even West Virginia-Notre Dame and Florida-Virginia were surprises in terms of the way they went down.

The Bonz almost single-handedly kept Notre Dame within striking distance of West Virginia, scoring 27 points and drilling 4-of-5 shots from beyond the arc. Unfortunately he was the only Fighting Irish starter who shot better than 50 percent from the field.

Every time Notre Dame started to mount a rally, Carter was right there to drill a back-breaking three-pointer at the end of the shot clock. The junior guard finished with a team-high 24 points and connected on four of his five attempts from deep.

The Musketeer star continued his monster March by dropping 29 points in Xavier’s demolition of Florida State.

MLS Week 3 preview and fixtures: Atlanta United has plenty to love and just as much to improve

Atlanta United has quickly become the talk of MLS in just about every single way a team can dominate the discussion. The team is really fun to watch, it has a couple of MVP candidates and the sellout crowd at its home opener was amazing. ATL also had some growing pains with crowd management from a couple of different angles, and on the pitch, its defense is a major work in progress.
Authentic Kids Cam Johnson Jersey
Once again, ATL gets the privileged of being showcased on national TV, this time for its second home match. Saturday represents an opportunity for the team to prove it¡¯s making progress on fixing what didn¡¯t work and for its top attackers to show they¡¯re no fluke.

While Arkansas¡¯ Jaylen Barford dribbled toward the basket, a running Rodriguez reached out for what looked like a standard floor foul. But Rodriguez was coming in a little bit hot, and the contact included a slight trip that sent Barford tumbling to the hardwood. The play appeared more violent than most late-game fouls do.
Youth Dan Williams Jersey
Oklahoma State put on a show in the first half, with a clever alley-oop play and star guard Evans literally running circles around UM. It felt like Cowboys shooters were wide-open all day, and they were clicking. Michigan wasn¡¯t shooting as well from the floor, but the Wolverines¡¯ were making more three-pointers to keep the game close. It was a shootout in every sense of the word.

Most of the best March Madness moments require some kind of last-second shot to make them memorable. Oklahoma State pushed hard in the last minute, but what made this one memorable was everything that came before that.
